1. The knife gate valve adopts a wafer connection method. The length of the valve body is short and the gate disc is thin. There is a knife-shaped oblique cut at the bottom of the gate, which can cut off fibers in the medium. This design makes the knife gate valve suitable for transporting wet or dry media such as slurry, coal slurry, ore powder, dry ash, coal powder, pulp, slurry, material-water mixture and material-gas mixture.
2. The design feature of the knife gate valve is that the valve flap can be opened and closed perpendicular to the flow direction of the fluid. In the closed state, the valve flap completely blocks the flow path of the pipeline, thus realizing the effect of cutting off the flow direction of the fluid. This characteristic makes the knife gate valve very effective in situations where it is necessary to cut off the flow of media.
3. The structure of knife gate valves is relatively simple, usually with only one valve clack and one manual operation device. This simple construction makes the knife gate valve easy to maintain and operate.
4. The knife gate valve can be opened and closed quickly and has a fast response speed, especially suitable for emergency applications.

The sealing performance of the knife gate valve is excellent, mainly due to its metal or elastic material sealing gasket. These gaskets can effectively prevent media leakage and improve equipment operation efficiency.
The sealing surface of the knife plate and base of the knife gate valve is made of hard materials, allowing it to adapt to high-speed flow, high viscosity and particulate media, extending the service life of the valve.
Since the valve clack is in the shape of a flat plate, the knife gate valve is suitable for high-viscosity media and liquid-solid two-phase media, and is not prone to clogging.
