Our Trunnion Ball Valve is a high-performance industrial flow control valve engineered specifically for high-pressure, large-diameter pipeline applications. Manufactured to API 6D and API 608 design standards, and tested to API 598 inspection requirements, this stainless steel trunnion ball valve features a unique trunnion-mounted ball design, with upper and lower stem bearings that drastically reduce operating torque, even in extreme high-pressure conditions. Available in sizes from 6” to 24”, with pressure ratings of 150LB to 2500LB and an operating temperature range of -196℃ to 450℃, it is compatible with water, oil, gas, and steam, as well as corrosive and cryogenic mediums. Constructed with high-grade carbon steel and stainless steel materials, it is the ideal flow control solution for long-distance pipeline operators, oil and gas companies, chemical processing plants, and water treatment facilities requiring robust, long-lasting performance in harsh working environments.
Unlike floating ball valves, the ball in our high pressure trunnion ball valve is fixed to upper and lower trunnions, which absorb all fluid pressure forces and prevent the ball from shifting toward the valve seat. This design eliminates excessive seat stress, reduces operating torque drastically, and enables effortless manual or automated operation, even in high-pressure, large-bore pipelines, reducing operator strain and actuation equipment costs.
This API 6D compliant trunnion ball valve features an advanced spring-preloaded valve seat assembly with self-tightening upstream sealing, with two independent seats that deliver reliable bi-directional sealing. This eliminates flow direction restrictions during installation, offering unmatched flexibility for pipeline design. It also includes a full fire-safe structure, which forms a metal-to-metal seal via spring force if the soft sealing ring is damaged by fire, meeting API 6FA and API 607 fire safety standards.
The valve is equipped with an automatic cavity pressure relief function, which retracts the valve seat to release excess pressure when cavity pressure rises abnormally, then resets automatically to protect against catastrophic overpressure failure. Its full port design delivers a flow coefficient equal to straight pipe, minimizing flow resistance and pressure loss to maximize fluid transportation efficiency and reduce pumping energy costs for long-distance pipeline systems.
